BEYONCE FOR H&M!!?!

 

Well.. at first, I was mega excited to! But it’s not a collaboration which I think H&M do so well with other designers…

Today H&M proudly announced a new partnership for its summer campaign with global superstar Beyoncé. They said the entertainer, who kicks off her sold out Mrs. Carter Show World Tour on April 15, will appear in television and print ads featuring pieces from the H&M summer collection.

The print and outdoor billboards introduce “Beyoncé as Mrs. Carter in H&M”, the idea that all women can be all things: strong, vulnerable, sensual, maternal, fun, flirtatious…. (and of course shouldn’t forget to bow down to her of course *side eye*).

The clothing will be available beginning May in H&M stores worldwide and online, not sure if i can wait that long… *sigh*. I wonder if this will be a sell out just because Beyoncé is wearing it??

I take my regular trip outside of London to get some space, and I came across this gooorgeous girl!

I honestly couldn’t let her pass me after I eyed up her unique and trendy Outfit. I managed to Snap away at this gorgeous look as she grinned at me with a mouth full of metal *swoon*. As patronizing as this may sound, she was so little and was giggling her head of… I just wanted to put her in my pocket!

This outfit sure has got me in the mood for Spring to get it butt here!!

About 11 weeks ago, Rihanna teased us by posting up some Behind the scene (#BTS) images on Instagram of the her and the models on set shooting her much Anticipated collection for River Island!!

Last weekend Rihanna Headlined just about everywhere in response to her #RihannaforRiverIsland collection preview!

Although I expected Rihanna to emerge after the show in something a lil’ more.. erm, “Rihanna”. Her collection, in my opinion did not disappoint! I am a personal fan of Rihanna and deem her as a key Style Icon today for Fashion. Unlike many collaborations we see today, I can definitely say Rihanna’s personal fashion style is present in this collection.

I have decided to pull out my Top 10 Looks that I can definitely selling out this season, as well as earning  a place in my wardrobe!!

 An old friend of mine Jada Sezer contacted me not only telling me the good news that she was asked to feature in America’s leading Plus Size magazine, but she wanted me to style her for the spread!

Hey guys, As some of you know I have been working recently with Shingai Shoniwa from the Noisettes. Here is your exclusive behind the scenes to our shoot which made cover of Black Hair Magazine December/January 2012!! *crowd of women cheer*

The moodboard for this shoot was Neons, Colour-pop with a splash of tribal!!

This of course was right up my alley! I loooove a bit of colour especially on dark skin!

MY PORTFOLIO: CELEBRITY SHINGAI SHONIWA AT WELLA TREND VISION AWARDS!!

I grew up always hearing about the hair company Wella, so when I was asked to style Shingai Shoniwa for the Uk Wella Trend Vision Awards 2012 I was over the moon!!

The award show was  hosted by gorge Reggie Yates and the Noisettes (being the surprise entertainment) graced the stage twice that night!!

So here’s your backstage pass for a Sneakier peek into what was going on at the event and behind the scenes!!

 

So when I got to the Roundhouse, it was wristband time and I was shown to the dressing rooms where I could set up.

I even got a viewing of Reggie Rehearsing for the show.

 

Here is a look at Shingai’s dressing room with all the gorgeous clothes, jewelry and heels I brought for her to perform in!

 

So this was the first look for the ‘Big reveal’ of the Noisettes!

Here Shingai is wearing designers Amber Hards and Natalia Kaut.

 

 

After a delicious food break… it was showtime again!

 

Here Shingai was wearing a type of outfit which is called ‘Tear away’ which is having two or more outfits in one look. When a performer removes/tears away an item of clothing etc. another outfit is revealed.

Here Shingai is wearing Natalia Kaut, Pebble London and B-PR.

 

In this shot, Dan Smith is wearing a Electric blue Suit from Topman.

Songs such as ‘wild young Hearts’ and ‘dont upset the rhythm’ come under some of britains favourite songs!! As some of you are aware, I gained a Celebrity Client Shingai Shoniwa from the noisettes the genius’ behind these hits!!

This glamerous gal wore a headpiece pulled by me for Richard Bransons special Event Virgin Pioneer ‘The Project’!!

The Africa Express, the train that carried 80 musicians from Africa, Europe and other parts of the world around the UK for a week, has reached its final destination, London’s King’s Cross, for its last concert. – BBC

As some of you know!! I had the privilege of styling Shingai Shoniwa for this event!!

So grab your backstage pass for some up close and personal images from the day, along with detail of what she was wearing!! xxxo Here is Shingai just jumping of the Africa Express train in Kings Cross where she was took a pic with Baaba Maal wearing Fashion Designer Lall!!

  Its ALLLL about embellishment for me this season to make that Ultimate statement! This jacket screamed out “take me please” when I went into Lall’s studio!! it’s a Vintage lovers dream!! 

  After the Glam squad Mario Dionisi (Make-up and Hair) and I swished Shingai into our workspace she was ready for the stage!!

After they done their first performance we all went backstage where… *breathes deeply* I got to meet Sir Paul McCartney!!!! *cue vintage video of women screaming over the Beatles*

I was able to take this gorgeous snap of Shingai and Sir Paul McCartney on my mobile!! *eeek*

 

..Then as if it couldn’t get any better! Shingai Grabbed the Bass… Toby Grabbed his Drumsticks… Marques Toliver grabbed his violin and Sir Paul McCartney grabbed a mike and my god did they JAM!!

I truly say… just believe in your dreams!! This was honestly an AMAAAZING day for me!

After rocking it backstage, was the final performance… Woohoo!!

LIPSY AW 12/13 PRESS DAY!!

So here is your sneak peek of the ‘Oriental Vamp’ Collection!!

I was wowed by the gooorgeous floral prints.. and the curvacious body-con & peplum silhouettes!! ..Then of course the mouth-watering colours…

Whoever said that AW had to stick with the same deep coloured palette was SO WRONG!!

Here is your Sneak peek at the ‘baroque’ collection… it had everything that made you want to go out and ‘party HARD’!!

I absolutely loved the embellishment on the dresses and it was another peplum heaven.

We are seeing a lot of ‘knicker’ style shorts this season.. which to be honest.. can be a tad un-wearable for some of us!! So Lipsy has given is a cute & wearable option which is more like a bodysuit with a sheer skirt/cape… GENIUS! (Top left picture on far left).

This was HEAVEN for me!! Heres your sneak peek at Lipsy’s ‘Boy meets girl’ Collection! quenching the thirst of my fellow lovers of the Androgyny Trend!! *crowd of women cheer*

We had a healthy dose of embellished leggings, dresses, even (detached) collars!!

There was sheer tops, fringe detailing, studded bodysuits and gooorgeous printed shirts (bottom left picture). Although the collection was belatedly split into day wear and evening wear… IT WAS ALL GORGEOUS!!

I had a Gooorgeous Cocktail over some jewellery.. which may I add was GORGEOUS!!

I love how this collection, Lipsy is offering more matching pieces to their jewellery collection! the pieces were very clean and chic!! sooo many pieces on my wish list!!

Then of course, Lipsy’s classic loungewear and accessories. Then another Gorgeous shoe collection where i was seeing a lot of studded boots etc.

I was able to finish of the AMAZING day by getting my nails done!! Thankyou Bodouir PR and Exposed Nail polish for offering some of the HOTTEST shades!! my nails looked GREAT!!

BACKSTAGE PASS: ASOS WOMENSWEAR PRESS DAY!!

Lets have a show of hands for anyone who does not like ASOS?!! *que crickets and tumbleweed*

I am talking about one of the biggest Fashion retailers to grace the Internet!! If you’re looking for it.. ASOS have it!!

I have developed a relationship with ASOS through fashion styling and felt AB-soLUTELY honoured to attend my first Press day with them this month and finally get to meet these gorgeous press officers and see the clothes up-close and personal!

After signing in at reception I walked into a room where I was ‘wow’ed’ by gooorgeous shoes, jewellery and accessories i.e. girls Heaven!!

Shoes and Accessories

Mouth watering colours and splashes of glittering glamour which are DEFINITE must haves for the AW12/13 season.

I am LOVING this necklace with the hint of Neon Green!! *gasssp*! and check out the statement Baroque Printed ankle boots!! #Wishlist!!

So this collection of pieces is from ASOS’ Collection Revive!! Amaaazing ‘Superhero’ inspired pieces!

The gloves are a SUperHot.. yet timeless piece to add to the wardrobe!! And I am Absolutely loving the ‘kryptonite’ inspired rings!!

When I look at this Collection.. I would LOVE to style Rita Ora in some of these pieces!! (someone I would love to style!!).

A mix of glittering glitz and glam for the everyday look!! I am smitten for the embellished bag! and pairing it with the metallic high tops would look Amazing!!

Then we move into pieces which have more of a play with texture!! I absolutely love the paper bag style Clutch! We are  definitely seeing a lot more use of clashing patterns for the next season, but I do encourage to use this with statement pieces!!

We then moved into more cleaner pieces of jewellery.. I love how the pieces were paired with the boots which gave it that extra edge!

I loved these pieces!! it had a Vintage edge to it.. with jewel tone pinks, purples and greens!! Each being ultimate statement pieces.. #WISHLIST

We then moved onto these gorgeous androgynous inspired statement pieces. The embellished Leather collar was love at first sight! I can definitely see it paired with a sheer shirt… *swoon*

Here is what I call the print Palette! Here is another example of those MUST HAVE statement pieces (pattern clash). Seeing is seriously believing! I’d call someone crazy if they described some of these heels, but they absolutely work (of course)!!

I am a huge fan of anything androgynous.. and I loved how these pieces have a cheeky boyish edge to it!

Slightly moving away from androgyny (embellished tie).. we move into pieces which are a lot more minimal.. which screamed vintage 50-70′s inspiration.. I was absolutely loving the photographic print bag and the choker necklaces which we have seen a lot of this season.. WHICH are.. to DIE for!!

I felt excited when it came to the accessories wall.. I was told

“just because it will be getting cold doesn’t mean we have to banish life and colour from our wardrobe!”..

Such an exciting wall! I loved the idea of the Novelty pieces i.e. pencil scarf along with the mixture of texture and use of colour blocking! I definitely CAN NOT WAIT to wrap up!!

Here is another ASOS’ Collaboration with designer Lauren Mccalmont!! I loved the mixture of textures and colours on her pieces with humorous quotes printed on top of it!! I really loved the Statement Leggings (bottom middle), such a lovely way to bring colour and life to the winter wardrobe!

DESIGNER GUDRUN SJODEN’S FLAGSHIP STORE!!

As some of you know I had the absolute pleasure of being invited to Varg PR’s Talented Designer Gudrun Sjoden’s Flagship store Launch..

Forgive my terrible photography.. my Fuji battery died (trust..)..

But I’m not quite sure how I even missed a turning for this Gorgeous store!! But I must say.. it is breath-taking!

Coming from a visual Merchandising background.. this was absolute HEAVEN!!.. The attention to detail was phenomenal, I honestly could have moved in.

As some of you know I Directed my first Fashion editorial shoot in April 2012 Pride Magazine!! Above are moodboards I made for the styling, set and photography of the shoot!!

Here is the First look, welcome to Gilgamesh’s Tea room where it displays my modern take on the ‘little black dress’! yea.. yea.. i know it’s mainly gold.. but I love how nowadays we have that basic black (themed) dress which can be worn over and over… This dress IS far from basic though… I am in love with this cord dress!!

This look was another extension of the ‘LBD‘… Modernised with a cut out waist.. thigh high splits… and that sexy ‘backless’ statement!

This look is one of my favourite.. this show-stopping coral maxi dress would make ALL skin tones glow!! A maxi dress to me is a must have in the wardrobe.. easy to dress up or down. and perfect for a day you feel not quite 100%… and you’ll look absolutely HOT!!

So what is Spring & Summer without a swimsuit?

I love these three swimsuits!! TIP: I wanted the models to look glossed up for this look and accidentally got some oil on the swimsuit (unfortunately the designer was unforgiving) SO.. a big tip is to use a non oil based glitter directly on the skin or use water with a spray bottle on the skin to create the same glow when shooting!!

And just like the LBD, I believe all women should dare to wear RED!! INVEST.. INVEST.. and oh yea.. INVEST!! this is a statement piece just as important a clutch.. or a cuff in your wardrobe!

These feather looks were necessary… I am a sucker for texture and fur!! and  here I gave you a younger option and a more mature option… but both are undeniably sexy and chic with a gorgeous hint of african print!!

STYLE STALKING: OH MAN.. ‘THE LITTLE BLACK SUIT’!!

 

Every woman owns that classic ‘little black dress’… well I absolutely loved this Male twist.. ‘the little black suit’..
Dress it up or prep it up with the top button done up… or casual it down by maybe letting a few buttons loose.. and adding on a hat..

Regardless!! I LOOOOVED THIS LOOK!! and I HAD to stop him in his tracks!!

What was he wearing?

VARG PR PRESS DAY!!

One of the best thing about being a stylist is being able to go to Press days where you get an up close and personal preview at the brand/s new collections a season early..

I was Invited to Varg PR’s Press day… I loooove these Ladies! they are so warm & friendly.. and may I add very stylish!! The Nina Jarebrink shirt I used on Alisha White for the Pride Magazine Publication was from Varg PR! Their brands are individually amaaaazing and have been featured in countless lead Fashion Magazines and Celebs!!

So I had the huge pleasure of going to Boudoir PR’s AMAAAZING Lipsy & Pixie Lott Press Day!!

Unfortunately I didn’t have the pleasure of meeting/seeing Pixie Lott, but when I was shown the gooorgeous Chanel inspired two-piece she wore… I neeew she looked HOT (as always).
