I am sooo excited about finally posting this and giving you EXCLUSIVE behind the scenes to this shoot!!

as Some of you know me and my partner in crime Chanel Boateng (Make-up Artist) were blessed to collaborate with Britain’s Next Top Model Runner up Alisha White (click on her name if you want to see my interview with her).

Alisha has always been a favourite of mine so this was a nice opportunity for me to get my BarryM painted fingers on her goooorgeous frame (look at her leeeegs!!!) and style her in AW 11/12 Trend pieces she would possibly never have seen herself in!

Chanel also had an opportunity to Shoot with Model Ufuoma Itoje who is one of the beautiful contestants who graced Britain & Ireland’s Next top model who was Styled by Viennity!

Pride Merged both of our gorgeous shoots into a 10 PAGE SPREAD called ‘Country Living’..

As some of you know I as given the AMAZING opportunity to Cover (in my opinion) One of the biggest events to take place every year!!

in 2010 I attended BNTM Live at excell and it changed my life for good! I met Stylists such as Gemma Cartwright, Gemma Cairney, Sara Darling and many many more..

I was able to go to their stylist Seminars and pick up some AMAAAZING tips and inspiration!!

From then.. with further inspiration from My Mentor Arieta Mujay… I decided to make my blog.. and the rest is history…

Effortless as EVER!!… Kelly joins us once again in the UK not only for X-Factor but the much-anticipated launch of her new ALBUM!! *crowd of women cheer*…

..And my GOSH! am I in love with YET another one of Kelly’s amazing looks?!!.. OF COURSE!!

I am SUUUPER proud to see her in this GORGEOUS Erickson Beamon necklace in particular which is from their AW11 Collection ‘La Dolce Vita’ which I personally selected from their showroom amongst other eye-popping, jaw-dropping jewellery pieces!! I must admit, contacting brands and getting to see the showroom is DEFINITELY a pro! of being an assistant stylist!

When I was emailed Erickson Beamons lookbook.. I fell in LOVE all over again!! There literally was too many to choose from!!

So you guys know I NEVER leave you out.. So below is some of my personally edited ‘favourite picks’ from Erickson Beamon’s AW11 collection..

…If you are not on your way to the hospital from heart failure… then I suggest you start putting that money aside.. cz this is something which CAN NOT be put of on the ‘I MUST purchase list’.

BEHIND THE SCENES: TONI & GUY PHOTOSHOOT & CATWALK PRESENTATION WITH MARIA GALATI!!

Toni & Guy Photoshoot & Catwalk Presentation

So!! as some of you may know!! I was asked by Maria Galati to style for her HUGE photoshoot and Catwalk presentation! I was asked to  style 22 models 4 of them being male and the rest being female *DIES*

Maria is the most loveliest woman to work with… and meeting her and going through the concepts bit by bit was easy as PIE!!

I always find it easy creating a moodboard for clients when I am given a concept, just so I know that me and the clients visions are interlocked..

Above is the moodboards which I was using to create the 22 looks.

What did you wear.. gosh my mind reeled about what the HELL I was going to wear. But  realistically I knew something comfortable but still on trend would be best. Me and my sister (assistant) seemed to have subconsciously gone for the turban look.. with a denim and chiffon theme.. (great minds, think alike).

LOL.. asss IF we could wait to take a look around in the building and in the studio *pffffff*

After a nice coffee and some Jaffa cakes.. thanks maria! *grin*.. me and my sister  took a look at the model line up once again and began to unpack and hang all the clothes, shoes…….

and Accessories *YAY* and there was a hellllllll of a lot of it!!

It was nice at that point to have Maria and her Assistant come up and have a look at the stuff. The moment i showed her and her face let me know she loved it.. a gush of relief literally FLOODED ME!! I would never upload the picture taken of me grinning… you guys would NEVER come back on my blog again!! LOLL!!

Then… after some Hair prep in the hair studio Models came up to get their make-up done and finally to be dressed!!

On set the models went *team cheers*.. the models were coming in thick and fast.. and there was so much going on.. but they looked FAB!! unfortunately my batt decided to pack up.. so  this was all I got of behind the scenes.. *sigh*

But at this point, I was swept of my feet… The Models were in and out of the studio going to the rehearsal… *dances*

Before I knew it… it was showtime.. and if I could have died.. I honestly would have! but I WOULDN’T DARE miss a thing!! Me and my sister huddled on the first row.. FAR away from the stage.. *wipes sweat away*. Just picture this… me attempting to hold my cup of water casually in my shaky hand while the sides were giving me away by were steaming up.. *covers face*

To make it worse.. the energetic room was filled to the brim with Directors.. and god knows…

The music pumped.. the models strutted.. and the crowd clapped.. #THANKGODNOBODYFELL

Maria gave a talk about the looks and let the models exit.. but I must admit *covers face* I’m so happy im dark-skinned. I’m sure I would have made a fresh tomato look dull when she said my name and thanked me *I was shaking like I suffered from epilepsy at that point*..

Overall, IT WAS AMAZING! and I would love for a chance to work with Toni & Guy again! I got SOOO MUCH MORE up my sleeves I tell ya!!

So I want you guys just to stay tuned till you seen the final images which I shall post up.. and do not forget t keep an eye on my Portfolio

I was Lucky enough to collaborate with two AMAZING designers.. *falls back in relief*

So over the past two days…

I had experiences and received news that were almost LIFE changing for me..

Lucky For me, Talented Stylist Chris Hills asked me to assist him on a Photoshoot extravaganza called ‘Boys By girls’.

…Now saying Extravaganza was absolutely NO exaggeration!! Over this two-day photoshoot, Chris Hills alongside AMAAAAZING Main stylists Sara Darling and Lloyd Scott as well as stylist assistants Daleya Abay, David Oscar, Leila Hartley and Camilla Ashworth all styled 40-50 Models From Modelling agencies such as; Elite, M&P, Oxygen, Premier, Storm and MANY MANY MORE!!..

I also Met amazingly Talented photographer Terry Whitaker who worked as part of the Directing team.. Like the rest of the team he was VERY funny and such a warm person to be around!! *mwah*

Apart from the naughty moments of the team gawping at the absolutely GORGEOUS Models *gasssp* especially m *cough*.. WE WORKED BLADDY HARD!!

So, I hope every one has had a wonderful Christmas day.. not forgetting what its TRUELY about..

But one of the biggest questions I have to ask is.. “What did you wear?”

With Great inspiration from H&M’s amazing use of Rich colours and textures.. I chose this Maxi Dress for my Christmas dinner Outfit

I accessorized this dress with a thick Black belt to tie in with my Full Topshop Unique inspired Hair which models like Jordan Dunne (below) rocked out  for their Spring Summer 2010 Fashion Show.

STYLE STALKER: ENGLISH HERITAGE

The first thing that came to mind for me was English heritage. This trendy gal reminds me of the goooorgeous florence with her fiery red hair.

I spotted this lady in office… yup again i say it.. OFFICE CROYDON!! funnily enough her colleague calls her ‘charity shop’.. tut tut. Any fashionista knows that the best things come from vintage. all these vintage boutiques we shop in were inspired by our very charity shops that sit on our streets. Forget embarrassing, like TK Maxx some charity shops are time-consuming to look through but you can reeeally walk out with some unique bargains..

Her use of Autumn/Winter key trend pieces make this outfit stand out! especially with her use of colour and texture. The faux fur scarf and khaki tailored harem trousers look absolutely gorgeous together. She has paired the tailored trousers with a sheer top which has a gorgeous leaf detail on it (gawwwsh i love attention to fashion detail!!). The outfit is perfectly garnished with her boy lace up shoes in a warm brown colour and her goooorgeous fiery red vintage updo!!

I am WON over with this look.. I just HAAAAD to stop her!!!

Tis’ the season to sparkle… and whats better than doing it with this chiq’ feminine look completely from H&M!!

This look is perfect for that dinner out or a work function.

Its bold Red gives that festive touch… and the statement gems tie together head to toe and stand out!

I LOVE IT!!

I spotted this lady who goes by the name of Mireille Lumumba!

The room was half pitch black.. i promise… but i could spot style in the dark deep pits of the blue lagoon… LOL!

This girl stood out for me! every piece she wore made a Pure statement. Her outfit SCREAMED vintage and her suede wedges were bang on trend..  i couldnt help but compliment her hair which reminded me soooo much of one of the biggest fashionistas ‘Arieta Mujay’… seems like you have a mini me clone Arieta.. *spooky* and I thought the Tan colour of her tailored shorts worked lovely with her skin tone!
